| Stay classy, Cothran Martin Cothran ? sometimes contributor to the Disco. 'tute blog, staffer for the Kentucky affiliate of Focus on the Family, general-purpose bigot, purported logic teacher ? doesn't like Michael Shermer. Responding to an op-ed by Shermer, he writes:
Secularist atheists are all about having a "steely-eyed visage." ?The problem is that, while a few secularists like Harris can pul [..] |

| Cothran is always wrong Martin Cothran asks: Are there really 15.1 million poor people in the United States?
Short answer: Yes. Cothran doesn't actually answer, but strongly implies that he thinks the answer is: no. To justify this, he claims:
A multi-millionaire who owns several houses (with servants' quarters), matching his and hers Bentleys, a luxury yacht, and a private jet could find hi [..] |

| Cothran defends the Confederacy Having defended Holocaust deniers and crusaded against gay parents, I shouldn't be surprised that Martin Cothran, lobbyist for the Kentucky affiliate of Focus on the Family and occasional shill for the Disco. 'Tute, would defend treason. In defending the secessionist States, Cothran mostly just whales away at a straw man, offering but one real person's views to which he objects:

| Cothran's continuing cavalcade of racists You may recall Martin Cothran from our fight over whether Pat Buchanan is a racist and a Holocaust denier, and from his guest-blogging gigs at the Discovery Institute, and through his other attempts to abuse logic for partisan purposes. Not content to push creationism with the Disco. 'Tute and other forms of evangelical Christianity through Kentucky's affiliate of Focus on the Family, he now i [..] |

| Cut off Martin Cothran's internet access Martin Cothran, the bigoted, anti-semite defending, Holocaust-denial whitewashing, misogynistic, homophobic, creationist, authoritarian, logic-impaired mouthpiece for the Kentucky theocracy movement wonders Is Internet access a human right?:
In what sense is Internet access as a "right"?
I listened to this week to an interview on NPR in which a guest--some expert on th [..] |

Cothran keeps defending Holocaust denial I've been curious how close Disco. Inst. blogger and Focus on the Family would get to defending Holocaust denial in the abstract, rather than defending the Holocaust denial of Pat Buchanan specifically. In comments at his blog, Cothran inches closer. I observed that:
You say Buchanan "does not deny the Holocaust." I've offered the generally accepted definition of the Holocaus [..] |

| What is anti-Semitism? And why does Martin Cothran sweep it under the rug? Martin Cothran's difficulties with basic reading comprehension continue.
I'm putting most of this response below the fold, because sometimes someone on the internet is just wrong. All you need to know about Cothran's commitment to the truth is this reply to my claim that "I find [William F.] Buckley's condemnation [of Buchanan] significant because his political interests would have b [..] |

| Simple answer to stupid questions: Cothran and Beckwith edition Martin Cothran, friend to bigotry of all kinds, wonders "Has the Obama admininstration [sic] endorsed Big Love?"
No.
He is reacting to the Obama administration's decision not to defend section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, and to Francis Beckwith's erroneous comments on that decision.
Before delving into the argument, a few basic facts. DOMA was passed in 1996, an [..] |

Martin Cothran defends Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism, again Martin Cothran is upset wroth. I pointed out that his defense of Pat Buchanan against charges of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial are fallacious, and he replies with a post that show no actual signs of having read what I wrote.
Cothran's continued defense of Pat Buchanan against charges of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial is rather [..] |
