PSP software continues to rein supreme in Japan, as Capcom's Sengoku Basara Battle Heroes becomes the country's bestselling game. It unseats Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna Portable, beating out a surprisingly strong Wii contender.

Settling for second place is Oboro Muramasa, the Wii game from Vanillaware that will come to these shores as Muramasa: The Demon Blade. The two distinctly Japanese games lead the week's new debuts, which also includes the disappointing PlayStation 2 port of Arcana Heart 2.

Evergreen games like Mario & Luigi RPG3!!! and Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G continue to sell well amid a rather dry release calendar. The low-key release schedule also means that titles like Musou Orochi Z, Resident Evil 5 and Valkyria Chronicles are selling well enough to rep the PlayStation 3 in the top thirty.
