Samsung took a step towards world cell phone domination on Wednesday by launching three new messaging-centric handsets with T-Mobile US. These three QWERTY-packing handsets include the touchscreen Gravity T, the side slider Gravity 3, and the entry-level Smiley. The Gravity T and Gravity 3 are the next generation of T-Mobile’s popular Gravity lineup of handsets and offer side-sliding QWERTY keyboards, 3G connectivity, personal email and corporate Exchange support, social networking via T-Mobile’s Social Buzz application, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, music player, HTML browser, GPS, Bluetooth, and support for a 16 GB microSD card. The Gravity T and Gravity 3 differ only in their input method with the Gravity T packing a 2.8″ touchscreen and the Gravity 3 including the standard T9 numeric keypad. The Smiley is an entry level handset with a rounded form factor and vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard. Like its bigger cousins, the Smiley offers support for personal and Exchange email, T-Mobile Social Buzz, a 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G, and microSD expansion. All three handsets are available today from T-Mobile for the wallet friendly prices of $74.99 for the Gravity T, $49.99 for the Gravity 3, and $19.99 for the Smiley; prices include a mail in rebate and require a two year agreement.
