Looking for that perfect addition to your 550 square-foot New York City Bachelor pad? Sure you might have to shift a couple of feet to the right to keep up as the action moves down field, but might we suggest an 82 inch LCD TV from Samsung? The feisty electronics manufacturer literally brought out the big guns this year at the Society for Information Display (SID) International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition, unveiling three king-sized flat panels for our viewing pleasure. The first, pictured above, packs “ultra definition” 3,840 x 2,160 pixels into its massive 82 inch LCD display. This giant TV also sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 120 fps picture. Samsung is also touting an 82 inch “e-board”; a multitouch display panel intended to replace whiteboards and projectors. We’re not sure an 82 inch touch panel will address the same market as a whiteboard, but what do we know. Wrapping up the trifecta, Samsung brought along a multi-view Digital Information Display (DID) that displays 3D images without the need for those stylish red and blue 3D glasses. We miss them already.

| Samsung i7110 gets official | The new Samsung i7110 is slim, sexy, Symbian-powered and it hates Americans. Huh? Ok, we made that last part up, but this is yet another instance of a high-end Samsung phone that we would have loved to get our hands on if not for the all-too-common lack of US-appropriate 3G spectra. Samsung, dude, you [...] [..] Read complete article | | Published 20-Oct-2008 by Zach Epstein in HandsetsSamsungSymbianFP2i7110OLEDS60 Read 1 times. More hits in |

| Samsung Delve hitting U.S. Cellular? | We just got our hands on this snap of what we’re told is the Samsung Delve. If your spectacles are currently on your nightstand, the branding at the top says U.S. Cellular. You could sort of consider it a cross between the Samsung Instinct and Samsung F480 we guess; there’s even an on-screen QWERTY keyboard. | SanDisk to Samsung: No Way Jose | Samsung was recently jilted by SanDisk, one of our favorite SD card and flash storage manufacturers, in a takeover attempt. SanDisk turned down nearly $6 billion from Samsung saying that it wasn’t really adequate - in many respects. It seems SanDisk doesn’t have any self-esteem issues there. Samsung has offered a $26-per-share cash sum but [...]

| Samsung i8510 Innov8 Gets Shown Off in NYC | Honestly, we don’t know whether to laugh or cry. What would you say if we told you that the hottest most well-specced S60 handset in the world was made by Samsung as opposed to Nokia? What would you say if we told you that Samsung finally came around and threw a quad-band GSM antenna into [...]

| i8510: Samsung Cooking up an 8 Megapixel S60 Beast? | All we can say is… Wow. Ok, obviously that’s not all we’re going to say but the latest Samsung handset making its way through the rumor mill seems way too good to be true. Apparently Samsung is working on a new S60 slider that, if it lives up to the specs, might make the Nokia [...]

| Samsung dethrones Motorola as no. 1 in US | It was only a matter of time - Motorola has officially lost its title of number one handset manufacturer in the US to Samsung. | Samsung?s upcoming US handset lineup exposed | It looks like Samsung has a busy schedule coming up here in the US and while it goes without saying that we’ll be missing out on the cream of Samsung’s crop, there are definitely a few gems in store from our South Korean pals. | Samsung A867 for AT&T found in the wild | The Samsung Mirage, er… Eternity or whatever they end up calling it has been spotted in the wild. Looks like a pretty nice touch screen so far, much like the Omnia. | Samsung is back in the U.S. notebook business | Samsung has announced a new set of notebooks and are hoping to steal a little of Apple’s thunder (good luck with that one!). The new line-up should see some pretty sleek, thin, lightweight laptops with loads of power - definitely nothing to sneeze at. Samsung’s main target is the Macbook Air and it is hoping [...] [..] Read complete article | | Published 14-Oct-2008 by Marc Flores in FeaturesLaptopsNewsPress ReleaseSamsunglaptopMacBook AirnotebookSolid State DriveX SeriesX360 Read 1 times. | Samsung SSD takes a three story plunge, survives to boot again | | Advertised as being able to take abuse, Samsung put one of their SSD hard drives to the test by tossing one over the edge of a 3-story building. Landing with a giant bounce, they retrieved the hard drive, popped it into a laptop, and booted it, seemingly undamaged by its fall. Impressive there Samsung, but [...] [..] Read complete article | | Published 01-Oct-2008 by Kelly Hodgkins in HardwareSamsungdrop testSSD Read 3 times. More hits in |
