If you're curious about Metal Gear Solid Touch but not curious enough to drop eight bucks (which is equivalent to the cost of Steel Battalion in terms of iPhone game prices), this week is a great time for you to give it a try. From August 13 through 15, Konami is dropping the game's price to just $2.99. You can put the rest toward a custom Kojima iPhone skin.

We appreciate the low-key advertising of this deal. Konami just sent over a press release, telling us what the new price would be and when it would be active. Were it up to Hideo Kojima, we'd all be deciphering runes on a countdown site right now, and everyone would be crushed when it turned out not to be Metal Gear Solid 5.
