Capcom's strategy of re-issuing games with more characters continues unabated with the launch of Street Fighter IV Volt, an update of the original iOS version. First mentioned during a recent Capcom event in Tokyo, Volt is now available for download on iTunes, adding Wi-Fi support for head-to-head matches online and three new fighters to the original cast: Balrog, Vega and Cody. There are a total of 17 fighters now, which means Capcom will only have to reissue the game four more times to be on par with Arcade Edition.
Right now you can snag Volt for a buck, but over the course of the next week, Capcom will raise the price of the game each day by one dollar. On July 6, the game will have its price frozen at $6.99.
