This “Passive Aggressive Vending Machine” by artist Yarisa Kublitz is filled with fine China. When someone puts in a coin, and selects an object, the piece will fall to the bottom, shattering into a million tiny pieces. The artist contends that this act will make you feel better, although we here at Make think it would be more interesting if the broken piece of China came with some super glue to build it into something better than its original form. Check out more videos of the artist’s amazing kinetic sculptures at the link below.

| Idea Vending Machine | The Idea Vending Machine gives you more than just ideas! For just 50¢ you get (1) idea, a map if travel is involved, (1) toy, (1) quarter, and (1) lucky penny. | Lego NXT robot drums | | Yes, this is another drum machine, but I couldn’t help myself. This one listens and repeats the rhythm that the user plays. The whole thing is made from a Lego NXT and what appears to be Lollypops for mallets?

| Arduino and Nunchuck controlled espresso | | Tim Hirzel hacked his espresso machine to give it oodles more features and made it controllable with a Wii Nunchuck via Arduino. Makes me wonder how many test brews were required, and if he drank all of them during construction.

| Arduino drum machine | | This is a really nice drum machine that utilizes DIP switches to control the drum beats. Those types of switches are hard to manipulate, but I imagine you could easily replace them with an easier to use 2 or 3 position toggle switch.
The two dip switches work in tandem so that each 1/8th note can [...] [..] Read complete article | | Published 14-Apr-2008 by Nerdblog in General Read 11 times. More hits in |
